Sunday, April 25, 2010. Fear and Clothing in the Islamic Republic. As I was preparing for my trip to Iran, numerous people asked me if I was worried about my safety. It was difficult for them to say what they thought might put me in danger while I was away, but there was definitely a sense of fear when I mentioned my trip. Now that I am home all safe and sound, I want to respond to some of these questions about fear. The other terrifying situation was when we were at a small amusement area .
